Biography
For
as long as she can remember, Teresa has been writing and reading.
Poetry and
short stories came first, but by the time she was a teenager, she'd
started (but
never quite finished) a couple of novels. At university, she turned to
academic
writing, earning both a BA and MA in History from Queen's. Within a
year of
receiving that second degree, the fiction bug hit and she decided to
combine her
passion for history and research with her love of happy endings,
embarking on a
mission to write and publish historical romance fiction. She's still
working on the
latter, but has since completed three manuscripts, with several more in
the
planning stages.
When
not spinning tales of romance in the past, Teresa reads historical
romance,
historical fiction and historical mysteries as well as fiction and
mystery
fiction set in more modern times. Her reviews and opinion pieces can be
found in
The Historical Novels Review and, from time to time, The Ricardian
Register,
journal of the American branch of the Richard III Society.
A
member of The Historical Novel Society, Teresa also writes author
profiles and
other assorted pieces for the Society's other magazine, Solander and
the while
also maintaining a website dedicated to fiction and research and
contributing
articles on writing, research and history to a variety of newsletters
and
websites.
In
1990, she married her soul-mate, Sean - together they respond to the
demands
of their new kittens, when they're not running their small business,
gardening or
taking to the road on their BMW motorbike.
