Lia Fail
by Diana Lynn Laing

Lia Fail from Falias great
It with the Tuatha de Danaan
At Connacht’s shores, on May first’s date
Ireland entered from lands beyond.

Set in Teamhair’s northern hill,
Announce the true high king, this stone
By his sole touch would roar and shrill
Establish his claim to the throne.

Let she who bears its name likewise,
Claim its discernment in all things
Observe the truth in its disguise
Mind and serve but the Highest King.

Erin’s legend, with us to dwell,
So welcome Lia Isabel.
